A history of the Medes, translated into Persian by Karim Kishavarz from the original Russian. The Medes were a group who settled in what is present-day Iran in the second millennium BCE. They created the first recognized empire until Cyrus the Great united the Medes and Persians into a single nation, which heralded the Achaemenid Persian Empire.
